Different Medical Marijuana Consumption Methods

For medical marijuana patients, there are a variety of ways to consume cannabis. This is great news for patients who are looking for an alternative to smoking especially those with compromised lung health where smoking is difficult. At Herbology there are a wide range of products besides flower for those who prefer not to smoke.

Tinctures

One common form of medical marijuana are tinctures. These are infused liquids that are applied directly under the tongue. The benefits of tinctures are that since they enter the bloodstream immediately, patients are able to experience near-immediate relief and are able to control dosages better. Additionally, tinctures come in various strains and flavors, an added plus for our patients!

In addition to tinctures, there are ingestible oils. These can either be consumed directly or added to your food or drink.

Topicals

Topicals may often be chosen by those with chronic pain, particularly when it is in a localized spot. They are cannabis-infused lotions, balms or even patches that are applied right to the skin in order to provide pain relief. Topicals are meant for that specific region and target inflammation and soreness. One difference is that they are only applied to the skin so there are no psychoactive effects whatsoever.

Tinctures and topicals are by no means the only forms of smokeless medical cannabis treatment, though they are two great options we offer at Herbology! We are experts in the products we have and how they can help you with your approved condition. With several locations and many more on the way, we are here to assist!

If you have questions regarding what method is right for you, require information about our products, or want to know more about your state’s medical marijuana program, please do not hesitate to reach out.
